In digital printing, the paper web runs through a drying process where high temperatures act on the paper and moisture is lost. Undesirable effects such as paper curl, waviness, register differences and electrostatic charges occur. The task is to return the original moisture to the paper to optimise the quality of the product as well as the printing and further treatment process.

Register differences can hardly be avoided if the paper web shrinks in an uncontrolled manner. The paper remains dimensionally stable thanks to balanced moisture.
The paper cannot be charged when moisture is applied to it. Stoppages and rejects are prevented.
Paper conditioning through remoistening via non-contact liquid application
Conditioning units such as the WEKO-DigiCon condition the paper after it has passed through the fusing or drying process. It receives its original running and stacking properties as well as optimal flatness and is dimensionally stable. Production processes and print quality are optimised through the precision-metered liquid supply and the application of microscopically small droplets onto the web; paper waste is reduced as well.
Digital printing needs WEKO-DigiCon
With the WEKO-DigiCon liquid is applied via rotors in non-contact application on the paper web. The application volume can be controlled exactly and flexibly and optimally adapted to the web speed.
