Conditioning for flatness and antistatic
The task
Higher quality and better further processing
Drying processes withdraw moisture from paper. The possible consequences: Paper curl, static charges and brittleness, e.g. with decorative papers. Especially with the production of wet adhesive labels, paper is subjected to major moisture fluctuations and curls. Problems with transport and dispensing have a negative effect on the productivity and quality of the product. The challenge consists of supplying exactly the amount of moisture to the material, which it needs for optimal processing.
Conditioning for flatness and antistatic
Because of remoistening after the drying process, the paper remains dimensionally stable and stay flat. At the same time, it is not charged electrostatically.
The solution
Non-contacting, precise liquid application
WEKO-Fluid-Application-System (WFA) such as WEKO-FLOW or WEKO-BASIC, each with WEKO-SIGMA rotor carriers, apply liquid for conditioning the material web in exact amounts. Even a job with small metered quantities can be reproduced at any time. This makes you highly flexible in production, while preserving valuable resources in addition. What's more, the WFA can be adjusted quickly and conveniently enough to allow their variable integration into your production processes.
The realisation
Gravure and flexo printing need WEKO-BASIC or WEKO-FLOW with WEKO-SIGMA
WEKO-Fluid-Application-System (WFA) for coating or remoistening product webs consist of a Liquid Supply Unit WEKO-BASIC, the starter model exclusively for water application, or WEKO-FLOW for different liquids each with WEKO-SIGMA rotor carrier.
Your benefits
- Precisely defined reproducible application quantity
- Economic consumption of application medium
- Low energy consumption
- User-friendly
- High availability and long-term consistency
- Quick and easy cleaning
